Your salary is named after salt. Your bank is named after a bench. Every piece of money you touched today — the coin, the card, the debt behind both — was invented once, by someone, somewhere. This channel finds that moment and shows the receipt.

## Everything money does was invented once

Pay, price, debt, interest, contracts, banks: none of it is natural. Each one has
a first — usually in Mesopotamia or Anatolia, usually on clay. Somebody wrote the
first IOU, struck the first coin, and got the first paycheck (it was beer).

Every episode starts at your hand — the coin in your pocket, your Tuesday
beer — and walks backwards to the moment it began.

## The Receipt

Claims are easy; receipts are rare. Every episode ends its argument at a physical
object in a real museum — a tablet you can read, a coin you can weigh, a residue
you can test. We call this segment The Receipt, and no first is declared without one.

Before this, nothing. After this, everything — and we show you the exact clay it
was written on.

## Precision is the brand

We only ever claim "the first we know of." Firsts are contested, digs continue,
and when scholarship hedges, so do we — on screen, in plain words.
